Match Number One: Jimmy Jacobs with Steve Corino versus Mike Bennett with Bob Evans

Bennett pie faces Jacobs but Jacobs won’t be pulled into that situation. He does it again and Jacobs shows restraint. Jacobs with a punch but Bennett with kicks and punches. Bennett kicks Jacobs in the corner. Jacobs sends Bennett into the corner and he kicks Bennett. Bennett with an Irish whip but Jacobs tries for a boot but Bennett blocks it and puts Jacobs in the ropes and hits a back breaker. Bennett punches Jacobs and sends him into the turnbuckles.

Jacobs with a head scissors that sends Bennett to the floor. Jacobs misses a pescado when Bennett moves out of the way. Bennett thinks about a dive to the floor but he stops before doing the dive. Bennett sends Jacobs into the apron and then they return to the ring. Bennett with a back breaker followed by a slam and he gets a near fall.

Bennett with punches to Jacobs and he gets another near fall. Jacobs fights off punches by Bennett but Bennett with a kick to the chest. Jacobs with a few clotheslines followed by a neck breaker and he gets a near fall. Bennett with punches to Jacobs and he puts Jacobs on the turnbuckles.

Jacobs with a tornado move off the turnbuckles into a suplex for a near fall. Jacobs returns to the turnbuckles and he leaps over Bennett. Bennett with a spinebuster for a near fall. Bennett wit ha kick to the midsection but Jacobs with a springboard cutter for a near fall.

Jacobs goes up top for the back senton but Bennett gets his knees up and Bennett with the Box Office Smash for the three count.

Winner: Mike Bennett

After the match, Bennett wants Jacobs to shake his hand as part of the Code of Honor but he rubs Corino’s head while shaking Jacobs’ hand and Corino does not appreciate that behavior.

ROH Death Before Dishonor Results

One-On-One Match
El Generico vs. Jimmy Jacobs
Generico and Jacobs follow the Code of Honor and shake hands before the match begins. The bell rings, and Generico muscles Jacobs to the corner. The referee calls for the break, and both men return to the middle of the ring. Jacobs muscles Generico to the opposite corner, and once again the referee calls for the clean break. We get an “Little Jimmy” chant from the crowd. Nice. Jacobs locks in an arm wringer, but Generico flips out to break the hold. Jacobs drops Generico with a deep arm drag. Jacobs allows Generico to get back to his feet, and Generico drops Jacobs with a running shoulder block. Jacobs kips up into a spinning head scissors takedown that sends Generico to the corner. Generico catches Jacobs with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a two count. Generico nails Jacobs with an volley of elbow shots and follows up with chops in the corner. Generico hits a scoop slam and follows up with a standing moonsault for a two count. Generico goes back to work with the chops, but Jacobs stand tall and takes it. Jacobs hits two lariats and tosses Generico to the outside. Jacobs hits a suicide dive to the outside and levels Generico. Jacobs rolls Generico back into the ring and connects with a boot to the face. Jacobs hits a tornado suplex out of the corner and gets a two count. Generico goes for a Big Boot, but Jacobs catches the boot. Generico regains control with a Michinoku Driver for a two count. Generico sets up for a Yakuza Kick, but Jacobs catches him with the End Time. Jacobs connects with an Ace Crusher variation for a two count. Generico finally lands the Yakuza kick and sets up Jacobs for the top rope brainbuster, but Jacobs fights off. Generico goes for the top rope brainbuster again, but Jacobs counters into a top rope tornado DDT. Both men are down in the ring, and the a thunderous roar from the crowd signals the emergence of Kevin Steen. He grabs a mic and says that he is NEVER going away. He starts an ROH chant and then asks Jacobs to tell Corino that he is a “fucking pussy.” Somebody cuts Steen’s mic, and the locker room comes out to ringside to diffuse the situation. Jacobs attacks Steen, but Steen powerbombs him right onto the ring apron. Generico flies and wipes out everyone… except Steen, who rolls into the ring and stand triumphant. Cary Silkin climbs into the ring and offers to shake Steen’s hand. Steen shakes his hand but goes for the package piledriver. Jim Cornette enters the ring, and we’ve got a pull-apart brawl between Steen and Cornette. “Let them fight!” chant from the crowd. They might be talking about Steen / Generico, or they might be talking about Steen / Cornette. The roster separates Steen and Generico, and we get a “Mr. Wrestling” chant from the crowd. Generico breaks free, but Jacobs keeps him from following Steen into the crowd. Generico is PISSED. Cornette is PISSED. Jimmy Jacobs isn’t too pleased. Jacobs and Cornette get into a heated argument at ringside
Match Result: No contest.
Match Length: 12:00ish before the Steenference, 16:00ish total

Jimmy Jacobs (with Steve Corino) vs. Mike Bennett (with Bob Evans)

Fans threw toilet paper in the ring at Evans. They were all over Bennett with a “You can’t wrestle” chant. He controlled Jacobs early but Jacobs cut him off and stomped the hell out of him in the corner. Bennett came back to drill him with a big forearm and smashed Jacobs into the buckles.

Jacobs came back with a spinning head scissors, sending Bennett to the floor. Jacobs went for a pescado but Bennett got out of the way. He went for a dive of his own but stopped and stepped out of the ring, then went to the floor. He worked over Jacobs and tossed him back into the ring. Bennett nailed an over the knee backbreaker for a two count. Bennett beat Jacobs down with a series of rights. Jacobs began psyching himself up.

Bennett caught Jacobs with a knee but Jacobs came back with a flurry of offense, including a hangman’s neckbreaker for a two count. Jacobs nailed a tornado DDT for a two count. Bennett cut off Jacobs, who quickly came back with a bodypress off the ropes for another near fall. Jacobs went to the top rope and went for a flying elbow but Bennett pulled his knees up. Bennett nailed a leaping sideslam for the pin.

Your winner, Mike Bennett!

Decent back and forth match.

Bennett shook Jacobs’ hand after, mocking Steve Corino in the process. Corino wanted to fight but Bob Evans backed Bennett off and pulled him out of the ring.

Zach Gowen defeated Jimmy Jacobs and “Superstar” Bill Martel at 7:23.

U-gene joined the announce team in support of Gowen. Jacobs spent most of the match trying to share his feelings via poetry. Gowen won with the Ginsu-sault on Martel.

Steve Corino (with Jimmy Jacobs) vs. Michael Elgin (with Truth Martini)

Corino took the mic and introduced himself. He said he was an evil person, but each day, Jimmy Jacobs and himself are trying to get a little better. He said that for the last six months. he’s been trying to become a better person and thanked everyone for cheering for him. He said Jacobs came to him and said they needed to make a change, and they are trying to do just that. He said there is someone else that wants to make a change and wants his own redemption. The fans chanted, “Mr. Wrestling.”

Corino apologized to the ROH officials and new owners, but everyone needs a new chance. He introduced Kevin Steen, returning for the first time sine Final Battle. Steen was in the balcony of the Hammerstein and got a big reaction. Steen ran down to ringside but when he tried to hop the railing, Jim Cornette and an army of officials stopped him. Steen saluted the fans and stopped trying to get into the ringside area. He’s lost a ton of weight.

Elgin tried to attack Corino who sidestepped him and flew to the outside. He nailed a shoulderblock into the ring. They went back and forth with chops and punches. Elgin drilled him with a series of shoulderblocks in the corner but missed a charge.
